Clapham Kitchen
As part of an extensive refurbishment of a large Victorian town house in Clapham, we were asked to redesign the kitchen and adjacent living space. We organized the kitchen in a galley layout, with units along one flank wall and a Carrara marble encased island opposite, which formed a division between the messy operations of the kitchen and the living spaces. We used dark wooden handleless Italian kitchen units against the light marble and composite tops to provide a good contrast
An Everhot range forms the centerpiece of the workspace, with a custom-made Italian stainless steel extractor above. The Gaggenau fridge, freezer and wine fridge are neatly set them to one side of the kitchen in a purpose-made niche. We were also asked to design and install the joinery for the living area, which would house the TV and AV equipment.
The project was published in Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms magazine in 2012 and was featured on the front cover.
