We were approached to redesign an open plan living space at the rear of a house in Wimbledon. Although we had to work within an existing space, we were able to create different zones for the kitchen, dining and living areas.

 

New Walnut flooring was laid so we opted to use white gloss lacquered handleless kitchen units to keep a calm feel and to avoid a clash with the flooring. We then commissioned a Walnut end-grain worktop to be made for the central island to match the floor.

 

The blend of the flooring, the cool units and the Walnut worktop, along with carefully selected colourful fabrics, chairs and wallpapers, chosen by the owners, help to create a contemporary but warm kitchen / living space.
